The National Council of the Lewis & Clark Bicentennial has the following materials available:

  • Bicentennial Commemoration Signature Event Poster
This poster includes the schedule of the National Signature Events with photos from each signature event state as well as the event website.   It features a map of the Lewis and Clark trail with the encounter tribes' homelands as well as the Signature Event sites.

  • National Council of the Lewis & Clark Bicentennial Educational CD-ROM
This educational CD-Rom was made available to parents and educators by the generous underwriting of Qwest.   It included a virtual exhibit of maps, artifacts, themes, information about Bicentennial Commemoration events, a guide to Indian nations, trail state maps, and more. The Missouri Historical Society developed this multi-disciplinary curriculum for grades 4-12, which offers a new perspective on the Corps of Discovery's western exploration.

  • Circle of Tribal Advisors Brochure
The Circle of Tribal Advisors brochure, "A Guide to Visiting the Lands of Many Nations" provides information about the American Indian tribes whose homelands are along the Lewis and Clark trail.   It includes details about the Bicentennial Commemoration as well as about the museums, historic sites, and other places of interest in Indian Country. Click here to download.

  • The Many Nations, Many Voices Exhibit
This portable exhibit conveys the mission of the Circle of Tribal Advisors in a series of panels of photos and text. Click here to learn more about this exhibit.

  • Lewis & Clark: The National Bicentennial Virtual Exhibition
Two hundred years after Meriwether Lewis and William Clark set out from St. Louis on their transcontinental journey of exploration, a major multi-city museum exhibition commemorated their adventure. Although the tour is now complete, a virtual exhibition is still available on line and lesson plans can be downloaded. Please visit Lewis & Clark: The National Bicentennial Exhibition to learn more.
