Sierra Club's Lewis and Clark Bicentennial

watch the film and read more

Wind your way up the Missouri River, across the Great Plains, over the Northern Rockies and along the Columbia River with "Wild America: Protecting the Lands Explored by Lewis and Clark," a film that examines the diverse landscapes traveled by the explorers. The film looks through the eyes of Native Americans, backcountry outfitters, a rancher, an angler, a local family and conservation volunteers who are working hard in their communities to leave a priceless piece of natural heritage for the explorers of tomorrow.

Narrated by Oscar Award-winning actress Sissy Spacek, the film probes the environmental problems that face the region, and makes a strong case for protecting these lands.
